/ About the project
Problem:
The African Student Union at Syracuse University needed a stronger, more unified visual identity to better represent the diversity, pride, and vibrancy of African cultures. Their existing branding lacked cohesion and didn’t fully capture the energy of their community, making it harder to engage students and build a strong presence on campus.
Solution:
I led a rebrand that refreshed the African Student Union’s visual identity across social media and event materials. Drawing from a rich palette of traditional African patterns, bold colors, and modern typography, the new branding reflects both the deep cultural roots and contemporary voices of African students. Every design decision was made to amplify visibility, celebrate authenticity, and create a sense of pride and belonging for African students at Syracuse.
