Problem Representing the cultural richness of New York City neighborhoods required a design approach that captured authenticity while resonating with a diverse audience. Existing visual interpretations often overlooked the nuances of history, symbolism, and community identity. Solution Through empathy, research, and iteration, a design system was developed that drew on neighborhood histories, cultural symbols, and color meanings.
